Jordan Spieth returns to the scene of his first ever major when he attempts to defend his title at the 80th Masters tournament in April. The 2016 Masters promises to live up to high expectations even if Spieth can’t find a way to nab his second green jacket, which would make him the first back-to-back […]
The college basketball regular season has hit the home stretch, and as the clock counts down to Selection Sunday on March Madness, speculation has ramped up on which squads will grab the No. 1 seeds at this year’s NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament. The Villanova Wildcats have been a pleasant surprise, building on last year’s stellar […]
On Monday, Aaron Torres joined ESPN Radio in North Carolina. How great was the Big XII-SEC Challenge? Should the ACC-Big Ten Challenge move to this time of the year? And could Kris Dunn make a run at National Player of the Year? All that and more!
Another day, another interview on Aaron’s new book, “One and Fun.” (If you’re not familiar with the book, you can click here for more details).
Aaron joined the ladies of “Kentucky Women Talk Sports” to discuss the origins of “One and Fun” and the surprising people behind the scenes who helped make the book possible!
As you’ve probably heard by now, Aaron has a new book out! It’s titled “One and Fun: A Behind the Scenes Look at John Calipari and the 2010 Kentucky Wildcats” and it will be available on Amazon within the next week. For details, excerpts and everything else, you need to visit KentuckyBasketballBook.com. Anyway to help […]
On Thursday, Aaron joined ESPN Radio 99.9’s “Razorback Roundtable” to discuss his newest article on Fox Sports’ Outkick the Coverage, titled “25 Reasons Arkansas Should Still Be Optimistic.”
Aaron and the guys discussed the origin of the article, try and figure out what’s wrong with the Razorbacks, and then Aaron explained why he thinks the ‘Hogs will beat Tennessee on Saturday.
It seems impossible, but 2015 marks the year that an apocalypse hits and the SEC misses the college football playoff. I explain why in an article for Outkick the Coverage.
Earlier this week, Aaron joined the “No 2 Minute Warning” podcast to discuss his article on Maurice Clarett. Do young players even remember Clarett? What impact do his speeches have? And what’s next for Clarett? Then, Aaron and host Kevin McGuire discussed the season ahead, including why Jim Harbaugh might not be getting enough coverage entering his […]
Maurice Clarett has been in the news a lot lately, thanks to his new-found speaking career, which included a stop he made last week at Florida State. But before any of the news about his visit to Florida State came out, I did an in-depth piece on Clarett for FoxSports.com. Through interviews with Maurice, his […]
The NBA Draft is just a few days away, and on Saturday Aaron joined Kentucky Women Talk Sports to preview the event.
We start with the Minnesota Timberwolves. After trading for the last two first overall picks in Andrew Wiggins and Anthony Bennett, the T-Wolves are on the clock, but while many fans want the team to draft Kentucky’s Karl Anthony Towns, Aaron isn’t so sure. He makes the case for another player.
The conversation continues, as they discuss Towns further and what makes him so special. Aaron thinks that wherever he ends up he’ll be a great fit on and off-the-court. However, he does believe that his skill-set fits better with the Lakers.
Finally they wrap up by discussing several other players — Willie Cauley-Stein, Montrezl Harrell, and Aaron explains why Andrew Harrison just might be the steal of the draft.
Go ahead and make sure and enjoy this podcast. As we know, this is the last major hoops event before the off-season officially hits. That’s right, no more basketball until October (but hey, at least we have soccer. Copa America is underway, and the Gold Cup will start soon. Not to mention that Champions League winner Barcelona will be on the pitch all summer, and good tickets are still available.
On Thursday, I talked NBA Draft with the guys over on ESPN Radio in Lexington. We discussed who will go No. 1, why this trade could be full of trades, and why two Kentucky players that no one is talking about, could be the future of the NBA. If you like college hoops or NBA […]
Over on FoxSports.com I wrote about the No. 1 ranked player in the world, Rory McIlroy, and the forgotten recruiting story, of how he nearly played golf at a small school in Tennessee. Whether you’re a golf fan or not, this is a fun story, and a chapter of Rory’s life that not many — […]
I did a big-time feature for FoxSports.com on USC football superstar Adoree Jackson. The thing that few people know however, is that football isn’t actually Adoree’s best sport. If everything goes to plan, he could be in the Olympics next year….
Since it came out, the ‘Entourage’ movie has gotten nothing but awful reviews. I’m here to tell you why the critics are idiots, and why you absolutely have to see the movie. Here’s the link
